Gate Fee:  $10 per person 13 and over

4 coaches and all players get in free.

1^st Pay/1^st Play: Team entry into tournament is not complete until entry fee is paid.  If the tournament is full at the time of payment the team will be placed on the waiting list.  

Waiting List is based on 1^st pay/1^st Play

Divisions may sell out prior to the payment deadline.

The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size.

Keep an eye on the schedule until Thursday evening prior to the tournament. Any schedule changes will be communicated via email on the team account.

Rules 

We play exclusively by the rules listed on the www.play.bigbangsoftball.com website.

10u & over 

• Pool Format
  1. Pool Game Times will be set at 60 minutes

• Pool games will finish the batter at 60 minutes
• Pool games can end in a tie.  
• Pool Run Rule:
  • 6 runs per half inning during Pool Play
  •  Pool Play Mercy Rule:  12/10/8 after 3/4/5 complete innings
• Bracket Format
  • Bracket Game Times will be set at 75 minutes
  • Bracket games will Finish the Inning
  • Bracket seeding based on pool play unless noted by event director
  • Two Pool Games Seeded into a Double Elimination Bracket
  • Bracket Play Mercy Rule:  Leading by 16 after 2 complete innings
  • Bracket Overtime Rules: “Sudden Victory” Format
    • Managers of both teams meet at Homeplate with the umpires
      •  Umpire will flip with home team (higher seed) choosing Heads or Tails
      • Coin flip winner chooses to play offense or defense
    • The offense will start with two (2) outs
      • The last batted out on third base with bases loaded
      • The offense will follow its batting order used throughout the game
      • Each batter will start with a full count (2 Strikes and 3 Balls)
    • Winner will be declared: 
      • If the offense scores before the defense can get an 2 out.  The offense is declared the winner, or
      • If the defense records and out before the offense can score.  The Defense is declared the winner 

Awards 
 

• All Bracket Winners will receive Championship Rings. 
• All Bracket runners-up/Finalists will receive Finalist Rings.
• All Brackets winers will receive team Championship Banners.
• All Bracket runner-up’s/finalist will receive finalist Banners
• Each pool game will have MVP awards for one player from each team.

We will do our best to accommodate requests.

Rosters: 

All rosters are locked on the Friday evening prior to the event at 11:59 pm.

Players that do not have signed waivers by the cutoff will not appear on the public view team’s page and may cause a protest. Players on the roster that are not on the public view will still be eligible.

Behavior at the events

Carbonados Athletes has a zero-tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player, or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards anyone at the tournament.

Refunds:

Once schedules have been released, there will be no refunds for teams that withdraw.  

Rainout Policy -- if a team starts 1 game a 50% refund will be available. If a team starts 2 games no refund will be available. If the event is cancelled prior to the tournament starting or teams don’t start a game, a 100% refund will be available

Insurance:

If you did not buy your policy through Big Bang Sports, you must add Big Bang Softball as an additional insured.

You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. You must upload your insurance to your team profile before the event.
